Trinity United Methodist Church

October 2, 1960
The first worship service of Trinity United Methodist Church took place at the Community Center in Jensen Beach. First Methodist Church of Stuart provided hymnals, bulletins and much moral support. Seventy-two persons attended that first service.
February, 1962
Ground was broken for a sanctuary and fellowship hall on Arch Street. The estimated cost was $22,000.
February 28, 1978
Ground was broken for the present building.
February 25, 1979
The congregation met in the new building for the first time.
Ministers
Reverend Edgar Stauffer of the Stuart Church served as minister until Trinity could support full-time staff. Paul Watts was the first, followed by Neil Gunsales, Clark Thompson, Brice Harris, Richard Neal, John Whitehead, Thomas Weber, E. Craig Moore, Gary N. Beam, Joseph A. Rand (Interim Minister), and our current Pastor, Rev. Michael L. Sims.
